Since its foundation in 1900, the Düsseldorf Chamber of Trade has provided a whole host of services to support its members. One of its main offerings is training for master aspirants across the five floors of classrooms and workshops in building C. When renovation of the building first began, the plan was not only to thoroughly modernise the facility and fit it with cutting-edge technology, but also to optimise the learning environment, for example by installing new relaxation areas, soundproof acoustic ceilings and large windows.
Those leading the renovation project decided to fit all classrooms and workshops with NOVA Quadro sets — lighting systems with ESYLUX Light Control ELC. Thanks to the plug-and-play concept for connecting the system components, the installation could be made during ongoing operation. This flexibility was particularly useful in the metal engineering department, where the specialist machines were too heavy to move into better lit areas. The aspirants and teachers can now enjoy the benefits of flicker-free light and presence and daylight dependent constant light control, which is as energy efficient as it is convenient.
